Parks & Trails New York is a non-governmental, not-for profit, statewide membership organization. Their mission is to work to expand, protect and promote a network of parks, trails and open spaces throughout the state for the use and enjoyment of all.
New York State Parks -

Ellicott Creek Park, Tonawanda -
Ellicott Creek offers a wide variety of activities. Walk along the creek banks or in-line skate and bicycle along the paved trails.
Isle View Park, Tonawanda -
A pedestrian bridge connects Niwanda Park to Isle View Park. An 8-mile portion of the Riverwalk passes through both parks and extends by Aqua Lane on the way down to the Ontario Boat Launch until the foot of Porter Ave.
Como Park, Lancaster -
The park contains many different types of wildlife, herbaceous plants and flowers throughout the park. The Cayuga Creek Nature Trail along with its nature booklet provides a description of the different species found along the trail. The trail starts at the Boy Scout Grove and extends around in a complete circle.
Emery Park, Aurora -
Emery Park is one of the two county parks that allow snowboarding, the other being Elma Meadows. There is also a County Parks greenhouse and nursery located within the park.

Allegany State Park, Salamanca -
Allegany State Park is a 65,000-acre state-owned park located in the City of Salamanca, Cattaraugus County. Allegany State Park offers a wide variety of recreational programs. Every year visitors delight in discovering its 65,000 acres of lush forests and grassy meadows. Red House and Quaker have two developed areas, sandy beaches, hiking and nature trails. Allegany State Park extends well into the State of Pennsylvania. Includes over 70 miles of hiking trails, sand beaches and ice fishing. For historical information, check the Allegany State Park Historical Society. This park spans across City of Salamanca, Town of South Valley, Town of Coldspring, Town of Great Valley, Town of Red House and Town of Carrollton.
Devil's Hole State Park, Niagara Falls -
A wildly beautiful walkway leads down from the park along the turbulent Niagara River 300 feet into the wooded gorge and offers an up-close, spectacular view of the gorge's rapids. Devil's Hole has picnic areas, hiking and nature trails.
Niagara Falls State Park, Niagara Falls -
Niagara Reservation State Park, which surrounds mighty Niagara Falls, is the oldest state park in the United States. Attractions include biking, nature trails and hikes.
Reservoir State Park, Niagara Falls -
Reservoir State Park, Town of Niagara, Route 31, is the most heavily used park in Niagara County. The park has four tennis courts, eight baseball diamonds, a basketball court and picnic facilities. It is also home to the largest softball complex in Niagara County. Other users include soccer players, runners, kite fliers, model airplane clubs and golfers. Winter visitors come to sled and cross-country ski. Part of the park is an overlook for the Robert Moses Plant Reservoir.
